Bucket pictures.....

Hey our favorite girl is coming off a tough week. Hopefully next week will be much better. Here is her letter sorry it took so long to post.

Hey Guys, wow…it has been quite a tough week. The boys did not end up getting baptized this week, but will be baptized on Saturday. It is hard because after these baptisms we really don’t have anyone to teach so we will have to really look hard for some new investigators.

I was able to cross off a bucket list item today for P-day. We traveled to Chanqache. It’s a place up in the mountains and it is so pretty!  We had to get up at 2:00 am so I am quite tired. I loved reading your letter today. Boy Avery needs to stop hurting himself.

Stink blank is dirty …but in one piece…haha! All my comps ask me if I am going to sleep with it when I get married and I say yep! I just love that thing! I have not washed it because it just might fall apart.  Haha!

Mom I would love to go to Women’s conference with you…count me in.  Woot Woot on winning a major award!

Love You Guys

Bingham Ball

When you start to feel fall in the air you can be assured that Bingham ball is just around the corner. Get your wallet out people.... you are going to be shelling out some bucks! This year Madi is going with Austin Storrs...THE hottest guy at Bingham high school. She really scored on this date.
For the day date they went to a place called Hidden Chambers. This is an escape room with a pirate theme. They were on the easiest senerio...but ey maties they did not escape. So sad. It took them an extra 3 minutes to get out. But I can totally understand...when you have 3 pieces of eye candy in the room it is super hard to concentrate. Better luck next time kids...but what a fun date...right???
Here is Madi and Sadey before the day date. What a couple of cuties.
Sadey had some rules for the date. I about died of laughter when I read them. I had permission to share the first page from Madi but not the second. I did not realize Sadey was so funny!
On the way back from the day date I received this snapchat. I guess when Austin found out I was cool and had a snapchat he said they needed to send me a snap.  Madi instructed me to take a screenshot.
Here is Madi in her dress. This dress took 3 day trips to find...ugh...my least favorite activity on the face of this earth is dress shopping with Madi......she is the pickiest person...ever!!!!
She looks really good in the dress. We rented it from Bling It On for....hold on to your wallets people.... $126 bucks! We don't even get to keep it...gasp....I was tired and done with shopping so I gladly laid down my visa.
We had a fun photo shoot in the front yard.
I really love this picture....the way the sun comes down on her it looks like she could be translated....haha but we all know that would never happen...she is a sassy one!
Here is Madi and her date Austin.....they are a cute couple.
Here is the whole group. Micky, Karley, Austin, Madi, Parker and Sadey.
At the Ball...Madi, Sadey, Leah and Karley.
I made the boutineers for Madi and Sadey

I think they turned out awesome and they we easy to put on!

Karley, Sadey and Madi showing off the corsages.
Austin's mom asked if they could kiss each other on the cheek. Ok...This is what dreams are made of...Madi was shocked at such a request but she secretly loved every moment of it I am sure! Hot guy kissing my baby! I would have never gotten away with such a request.
Looks like Austin enjoyed his kiss too!

The headed to Bonsai for dinner. It is a Japanese steakhouse where they cook your food on the grill in front of you. All the boys caught shrimp but the girls were to refined for that.

After dinner they headed to the dance at the Capitol Building. They had a great time! After the dance they went to Karley's and watched a scary movie. I think all the kidlet's had a magical evening!

1 year....52 weeks....367 days......Peru Piura Mission

Well everybody....it happened....this girl hit her one year mark!!! I know.....I can hardly believe it myself....367 days have flew by in a flash.....52 weeks......12 months.......my goodness my life is passing by way to fast nowdays. I'm gonna be a grandma before I know it....I know I know....I won't hold my breathe for the grandma thing...like that will ever happen for me!!! Anyway the changes in this girl are amazing...it's a Aushlynn 2.0....it bet by May we will have Aushlynn 3.0.... all good things for sure! Well, here is what she had to say about last week.

Hey guys!

Wow this week flew by and well honestly I don’t even know where to start. First things first on Tuesday I had an intercambio with Hermana McRae! She is really awesome! She was my very first sister leader and so it was cool to show her how far I have come with my teaching skills and Spanish! Hermana Glunt and I have a baptism this next Saturday for 2 boys! We are really excited for that!

Next we practiced for a sister meeting that we were having on Thursday! We sang a musical number. It was really pretty. It was fun to see all the girls from the mission especially because about half are leaving to go home really soon.... ah. I requested that we have key lime pie for the dessert and sure enough Hermana Rasmussen pulled through! It was delicious!!

This p-day was SUPPOSED to be one thing I checked off my bucket list but we had problems with people in our zone (annoying elders) ha ha so we didn’t end up going and we will go next week. So Hermana Glunt and I made the best of it and we went to Chulucanas and saw some stores and had some fun! We met some really col people on our way and shared the gospel with them! It really was such a good day! Also we got invited off the street to learn to paint and we got to paint our own Ceramic plates it was awesome!

Well that’s pretty much my week! In regards to me having a year in the mission... yikes! The time has just flown by! I’m trying to soak up every minute I have here and with these people!

Happy Halloween everyone!

The case of the missing name badge....I know who I am...

Hola Padres!

Wow this week flew by as usual... didn’t I just talk to you guys like 2 days ago? Weird. This week was actually kind of a bad week for me but you know you just have to laugh it off and say I’m in Peru... ha ha.

Well first things first.. I lost my name tag... I totally lost it. It was nowhere to be found! I had to be Hermana Glunt this past week ha ha. Everyone laughed at me and I ordered new name tags but it’s going to take 2 weeks to make them. How embarrassing. Anyway last night (Sunday night) I got into the shower and grabbed my towel and there was my tag hanging there clipped to it. Oh my gosh... I am still Hermana Brown guys.

We did some service this week helping with a young girls 15th birthday! That’s the big birthday here in Peru. They usually have a huge party and dinner and the whole shabang! They are kind of a poorer family and didn’t have much money to give their daughter what she wanted to so Hermana Glunt and I offered our services! I did her makeup and hair and also we helped decorate and help put food together! It was a lot of work but by the end it turned out amazing! She was so happy with how the night turned out.

So our investigators are kind of progressing but there isn’t a lot happening here in Capullanas to be honest. We are looking to baptize 2 brothers not this week but the next but other than that we are having a hard time finding new people to teach! We did see a miracle with a new girl we found named Evelin. Funny side note when I heard her name I immediately thought of evychezy (who my mom use to watch for daycare ) ha ha I don’t know why. We were able to share our testimonies and she was really moved by them! We are hoping she will progress!

This week we had our multi zone conference! It was amazing as usual. I always walk away learning so much! Hermana Rasmussen had a really good talk about humility! I have been learning this my whole mission! You really do learn to love.. and not care about the little things that would matter so much to you back home. You completely forget yourself and really focus on other people. I love that aspect of the mission. We also learned from president about becoming disciples of Christ. About how the mission is for you! To help you become a disciple of Christ and the people you help on the way are just little blessings and miracles to help build you testimony! It was really so good!

This pday we spent with President and Hermana Rasmussen at their house! It was really awesome! I love spending time with them! We had a nice bbq (Peruvian style) and played some nice Ping-Pong! It was a nice relaxed day! Next week (Halloween) we are traveling to chanqache! It’s a place in the mountains that is SOOO PRETTY!! I’ve wanted to go ever since I got here! We will take really cool pictures!! Stay tuned!

I love you all!!
