Do I have to share???
One of the greatest things at Easter time are these. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for my Savior and all that he has done for me for sure, but I am also thankful that the Hershey's company makes these babies. I am truely grateful that they start selling easter candy in January. These are my favs. Don't be jealous that I have these because you can pick up your own bag at wal-mart for only $2.96. Awesome Deal! One question, if you look at the bag it says "Family Size" does that mean that I have to share? In no way is this one bag gonna be enough for me! Shh! Don't tell them that I have these. Now, where can I hide them...................
Going for a Record!!
I have made my bed 3 days in a row! WOW! See the proof below. Seriously, I think the record for me is a week. Bed making is not one of my strong skills. Whenever I make it, Kendall just messes it up again. (Yes he does! He is always the first one in. I'm a night owl, I am definitely the last one out, I'm not a morning person. ) I do not know how making the bed became my job, but I guess it' s like laundry. If I want it to get done I have to do it myself. I have decided to set a goal of 5 days, I will keep you posted!
Day Four: a
But guess Who messed it up today?
BUSTED! Seriously Buddy, Can't I have anything that does not have dog hair on it??? He's even on my pillow!!

New Camera
In honor of my upcoming numerically challenged event, I bought myself a gift. (It's from Kendall, thanks honey! I had him press the buy button!) I have always wanted a camera that actually takes the picture when you press the button. It really did not seem like alot to ask. With my old camera, I had about a 3 second delay from the time I pushed the button and the time the camera actually took the shot. I found myself guessing when I would have a good shot. Well, my guessing days are over. After looking at several camera I chose the Nikon d40. I Love it! I can take up to 3 shots in one second! Its a good thing that I bought it before the broken window incident, or I would not have got it. Mothers sacrafice way to much!

What were they thinking????
Have you ever done anything stupid in your non-numerically challenged years? You are sitting in the house on a beautiful almost spring day and you say to your brother, "Do you wanna play catch?" Great Idea! It does not matter that just yesterday your dad told you NOT to play catch in front of the window because he did not have $1000 bucks to replace it. But, you are good, you can catch anything that comes your way. Why do you need to listen? We all remember when we knew more that our parents right?? Turns out we really didn't. You all know where I am going with this story don't you?
Well, a SHATTER was heard through out utah yestersday. Two really. First the window as the basball went through it and second the wrath of a very anger father coming down on two boys. You heard it didn't you? Of course this happend at about 5:05 pm on a friday. We have to wait until monday to have someone come and take measurements for a replacement.

This is a pretty expensive lesson for the boys to learn!

What was I thinking???
Have you ever done anything stupid in your numerically challenged years? Like when you are sitting in primary sharing time and the Relief Society roll is passed to you. (They like to still count you when you are trying to keep your sanity and teach 16 five year olds by yourself!) You see a flyer saying we are having a Relief Society basketball tournament and we need you to play. It kind of looked like the Uncle Sam posters during the war when they were recruiting soldiers. The arrow was pointing to me. I guess that they need me to play. I had a few years of basketball in high school. OK, I scribble my name down and think nothing of it.
A few week pass.
Yesterday I got a phone call around 3:00. Hey Mindy, How it going? BLAH BLAH BLAH HA HA BLAH. Oh, yeah before I go, I just wanted to let you know that we are playing basketball tonight at 6:30. I'll see you there! CLICK! Dang it, I had totally forgotten about signing that paper. I had the thought run thru my mind, what if I shoot and come no where near the basket. I know that this is going to happen. Of course I still have kids that I am watching, I guess that there will be no pratice for me.
Now, I should just keep my mouth quiet about these things, but oh no, I had to tell Kendall. He assures me that he will be there to cheer me on with him some of the kids. After all the kids that I watch leave at 5:30, Dyllon so kindly reserved the neighbors basketball court so I could shoot around. I could usually hit the rim and the backboard and a few even go in yeah! Now with a little pressure from Dyllon, I stink! Great!
So I make it to the church. Husband and two kids in tow. Kendall even lets me use his special basketball. I feel so lucky. It turns out that 15 women show up. Six from our ward and 9 from all the other wards. ( I guess that the other wards did not use the same flyer)
Well, to make a long story short. I really stink at offense. I am pretty good at defense. (if I remember right, it was the same way in high school) Thank goodness the gym was a half gym. I really need to get out and exercise more. I think I may have asthma.
This morning I hurt everywhere! Especially my knees! Going up and down stairs is not cool! I have taken two hot baths and many advil. I still hurt. How many days is it going to take me to recover?
Oh, and lucky me, I get to do it all again on March 19th! Women are smart, they give a whole month between games. It is almost like they knew all the pain would happen.

What's Up Doc?
This is where Kendall and Dyllon spent the night last Friday. In a hole just like a rabbit! Okay, cave. It took them about 3 hours to dig it. It was up by Strawberry Resevoir. They went with the Varsity scouts. I am very grateful that god made me a woman. I just don't think that I could have done this. I would rather give birth anyday! Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but....well you know. They could not even have fires. They did have a few propane heaters though. The night that they stayed in the cave, it snowed about 8 inches. They had to kick the door open to get out. They said that they were warm, but the ground was hard and lumpy. I am perfectly happy sleeping on my pillowtop mattress with my down comforter. BOYS!!!? What kind of torture will they think of next!

Let's Rock
Aushlynn is in the 6th grade this year. It is the last year that you exchange Valentine's with your classmates. (How fast they grow up!) We wanted to do something extra special. I have spent the last 2 days making 26 of these bad boys! Her friends rock! (Its made with a box of candy hearts and Reeses' peanut butter cups).
Stupid Elves!
I was able to get out of the house on saturday with just my special guy. We we going to get a light dinner and catch a movie. We went to Village Inn where I ordered a bowl of vegetable beef soup. When they brought my soup out they also brought a lovely basket of crackers and breadsticks. YUM! I decieded on the keebler breadsticks. Well, when I bit into my breadstick it broke my tooth. Blasted elves, since when do they make rock sticks. A visit to the dentist a few days later is buying me a root canal and a crown! Yeaaah????! Wow, that was a expensive bowl of soup!

La La La La La.....
I have a new calling. I am the new Music Director in my ward. My responsibilities are: Pick the music for sacrament meeting and then be the chorister. Since I am in charge of the music, I asked the 2nd counselor in the bishopric how he felt about adding drums and electric guitar section. You should have seen his face! Gee, I was only kidding. (seriously, they really should know me by now!) I am kinda sad to be saying goodbye to my primary class. I have only been in primary for 6 weeks now. How did I get attached so fast. They said that they will release me as soon as they get someone else called. The way I see it I will probably be in primary for a few more months.
